Unfortunately using the state list drawable with vectors caused issues on API 21. Only going back to individual drawables prevented the issue. On the bright side this is only an internal change and the public API doesn't need to change.

Setting up the dependency
Use Gradle to download the library from maven.mozilla.org (Setup repository):
