45f978e547 servo: Merge #18938 - Replace all uses of the heapsize crate with malloc_size_of (from nnethercote:bug-1409255); r=SimonSapin
Servo currently uses `heapsize`, but Stylo/Gecko use `malloc_size_of`.
`malloc_size_of` is better -- it handles various cases that `heapsize` does not
-- so this patch changes Servo to use `malloc_size_of`.

This patch makes the following changes to the `malloc_size_of` crate.

- Adds `MallocSizeOf` trait implementations for numerous types, some built-in
  (e.g. `VecDeque`), some external and Servo-only (e.g. `string_cache`).

- Makes `enclosing_size_of_op` optional, because vanilla jemalloc doesn't
  support that operation.

- For `HashSet`/`HashMap`, falls back to a computed estimate when
  `enclosing_size_of_op` isn't available.

- Adds an extern "C" `malloc_size_of` function that does the actual heap
  measurement; this is based on the same functions from the `heapsize` crate.

This patch makes the following changes elsewhere.

- Converts all the uses of `heapsize` to instead use `malloc_size_of`.

- Disables the "heapsize"/"heap_size" feature for the external crates that
  provide it.

- Removes the `HeapSizeOf` implementation from `hashglobe`.

- Adds `ignore` annotations to a few `Rc`/`Arc`, because `malloc_size_of`
  doesn't derive those types, unlike `heapsize`.

9ff046fd76 servo: Merge #18900 - Remove use of unstable box syntax (from servo:box_syntax); r=emilio
http://www.robohornet.org gives a score of 101.36 on master, and 102.68 with this PR. The latter is slightly better, but probably within noise level. So it looks like this PR does not affect DOM performance.

This is expected since `Box::new` is defined as:

```rust
impl<T> Box<T> {
    #[inline(always)]
    pub fn new(x: T) -> Box<T> {
        box x
    }
}
```

With inlining, it should compile to the same as box syntax.

e0cca7f9a3 servo: Merge #17425 - cleanup embedder/compositor/constellation/script messages (from paulrouget:attach-pipeline-2); r=asajeffrey
Fix: #17226 #17200 #17201

This is work in progress. Some tests still fail.
I'd like to get early feedback as it's a pretty large PR.

There is nothing fundamentally new. Basically, I added TopLevelBrowsingContrextId to the relevant messages between the embedder, the compositor and the constellation, and enforced the PipelineId to be attached to each ScriptMsg (see #17201).

I unaliased all the ScriptMsg. It was getting difficult to understand the nature of the message as ScriptMsg was used aliased CompositorMsg sometimes (CompositorMsg is an actually type of message already). I renamed constellation_chan to script_to_constellation_chan, again, for clarification.

This cleanup code is necessary for #15934 and for tabs support.

/cc @asajeffrey can I ask you to look at this? No need for a formal review, I need feedback at this stage.

This requires https://github.com/servo/rust-cssparser/pull/143 for the final commit. There's no better way to split that work up, unfortunately, and it's extremely easy to bitrot. I would appreciate if we could expedite reviewing this work.

This is the work necessary to enable https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1352669. It makes sense to merge it separately because it's so much effort to keep it up to date with the ongoing Stylo work.

80dfe1b881 servo: Merge #16014 - Per-process lock for CSSOM objects (from servo:style-ref); r=emilio
<!-- Please describe your changes on the following line: -->

Before this PR, every object reflected in CSSOM is in `Arc<RwLock<_>>` to enable safe (synchronized) mutable aliasing. Acquiring all these locks has significant cost during selector matching:

* https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1311469
* https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1335941
* https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1339703

This PR introduce a mechanism to protect many objects with the same `RwLock` that only needs to be acquired once.

In Stylo, there is one such lock per process (in a `lazy_static`), used for everything.

I non-Stylo Servo, I originally intended to have one such lock per document (for author-origin stylesheets, and one per process for user-agent and user sytlesheets since they’re shared across documents, and never mutated anyway). However I failed to have the same document-specific (or pipeline-specific) `Arc` reachable from both `Document` nodes and `LayoutThread`. Recursively following callers lead me to include this `Arc` in `UnprivilegedPipelineContent`, but that needs to be serializable. So there is a second process-wide lock.

This was previously #15998, closed accidentally.

2ed1f117d4 servo: Merge #15145 - Prevent crashing when a link tag has two or more in-flight requests (fix for issue #15101) (from SwagColoredKitteh:issue-15101); r=emilio
<!-- Please describe your changes on the following line: -->
The `HTMLLinkElement::set_stylesheet` function now checks whether there already is a stylesheet, and if there is, calls `Document::invalidate_stylesheets` after modifying `self.stylesheet`.

This PR also includes a minimal WPT that causes the panic.

This is fundamentally a timing issue, so while this fix prevents the crash, it does not fix the underlying issue. Making a <link> element send a second request before the first can finish and then getting the two stylesheet responses out-of-order will apply the wrong stylesheet, as demonstrated with https://gist.github.com/SwagColoredKitteh/2c24c7fac635445042eda4a30e10420e.

20d05f529d servo: Merge #14646 - Support origins in CSSOM stylesheets (from canaltinova:origin-clean); r=jdm
<!-- Please describe your changes on the following line: -->
I still need to pass the origin clean flag to constructors. `style::stylesheets::Stylesheet` has an origin field but I don't think that's relevant.
I can get href in htmllinkelement.rs like this:
```rust
let element = self.upcast::<Element>();
let href = element.get_string_attribute(&local_name!("href"));
```
But I'm not sure how to proceed after here.
@Manishearth any opinions?

19c268d2e4 servo: Merge #14865 - Implement Subresource Integrity (from mrnayak:sri-fetch); r=jdm
Implemented response validation part of https://w3c.github.io/webappsec-subresource-integrity/.
Implemented step eighteen of the main fetch. If a request has integrity metadata, then following steps are performed
1) Wait for response body
2) If the response does not have a termination reason and response does not match request’s integrity metadata, set response and internalResponse to a network error.

Dependency updated: html5ever-atoms from 0.1.2 to 0.1.3. This will not completely fix #14523, It will implement changes related to response validation. Request validation algorithm implementation needs CSP.

I did not update any WPT-Test. In my local system, I found some assertion issue dependent on the order of execution of test-case. It would be helpful if someone could do "try" build on these changes to get wpt results.

Manish Goregaokar
67e62fc6bf servo: Merge #14190 - Immutable CSSOM (from Manishearth:cssom); r=SimonSapin
This PR is intended to add basic support for all CSSOM interfaces, with the ability to index `document.styleSheets` and css rule lists, and serializing individual css rules. Handling individual interface methods for CSSRule subclasses can probably be done with easy/medium bugs.

Mutation safety isn't dealt with here; if the css rule list is mutated the CSSOM will be in an inconsistent state. I intend to deal with this via zero sized tokens, see https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.servo/AnxJoVmtMXQ . I'll handle that when I start making the CSSOM mutable. (Getting the immutable bit landed first opens this up for easy bugs)

This doesn't really change style aside from adding an extra arc in the CSS rule list as discussed in the linked thread. So far this same design can be used by stylo as well when the time comes.
