0a4e7a7185 Bug 1508169, Remove performAction* from nsITreeView.idl in mozilla-central. r=peterv, johannh
performAction, performActionOnRow and performActionOnCell are methods of the
nsITreeView interface that are never called. This is to remove these methods.
A comm-central patch will be along shortly.

27cd359c46 Bug 1487228 - (1/2) remove nsIX509CertList.getRawCertList r=jcj
nsIX509CertList.getRawCertList is only used once and doesn't provide
particularly unique functionality (its one use can easily be re-worked in terms
of other APIs). Removing this API will ease refactoring work to avoid holding
long-lived references to CERTCertList instances in nsNSSCertList.

c95202f551 Bug 1466727 part 2. Remove use of nsITreeColumn in xpidl interfaces. r=mossop
There is one actual behavior change here, in the webidl version of
TreeBoxObject::GetCellAt. I believe this change fixes a leak of the
nsTreeColumn, but could use careful review.

I tried to avoid changes not needed to get this compiling. There will be a lot
more cleanup in the next few changesets.

2e780c7618 bug 1465933 - remove GetPIPNSSBundleString from nsINSSComponent r=fkiefer
At this point, all uses of GetPIPNSSBundleString *should* be on the main thread,
so we can just remove the nsINSSComponent version and rely on the
nsNSSCertHelper instance.

bd67cd9675 Bug 1444991 - Part 5: Make some XPCOM methods more strongly typed, r=bz
This patch goes through and changes a bunch of places in our tree which mention
this bug to use the new feature, making the methods more strongly typed.

There are probably more places in tree which could be changed, but I didn't try
to find them.

ef94d8cd22 bug 1421084 - part 1/4 - remove now-unnecessary nsNSSShutDownPreventionLock r=mt,ttaubert
As of bug 1417680, the NSS shutdown tracking infrastructure is unnecessary (and
does nothing anyway). This series of changesets removes the remaining pieces in
a way that is hopefully easy to confirm is correct.

be5f8887c1 Bug 1390428 (part 9) - Remove nsXPIDLCString. r=erahm.
This is straightforward, with only two notable things.

- `#include "nsXPIDLString.h" is replaced with `#include "nsString.h"`
throughout, because all nsXPIDLString.h did was include nsString.h. The
exception is for files which already include nsString.h, in which case the
patch just removes the nsXPIDLString.h inclusion.

- The patch removes the |xpidl_string| gtest, but improves the |voided| test to
cover some of its ground, e.g. testing Adopt(nullptr).

608970ed67 Bug 1390036 (part 1) - Remove most remaining uses of nsXPIDLString. r=erahm.
CompareCacheHashEntry::mCrit[] is the only case where the nsXPIDLString-ness
was important. The patch adds an explicit SetIsVoid() call to that class's
constructor and changes some null checks to IsVoid() checks.

0cad676aa4 bug 857627 - 2/4: remove nsIX509Cert.nickname r=Cykesiopka,jcj
In general, any code that was using nsIX509Cert.nickname should be able to use
the attribute displayName (if using nickname for display purposes) or the
attribute dbKey (if using nickname as a unique identifier for a certificate).

d98b86843a bug 1284946 - remove usages-related APIs from nsIX509Cert r=Cykesiopka,Felipe,jcj
nsIX509Cert provided the APIs getUsagesArray, requestUsagesArrayAsync, and
getUsagesString. These APIs were problematic in that the synchronous ones would
cause certificate verification to block the main thread and the asynchronous one
was needlessly indirect in its definition (it made use of two additional
special-case xpidl types) and needlessly complex in its implementation (it
required nsNSSComponent to manually manage a background thread without the aid
of recent improvements in that area (e.g. CryptoTask)). Furthermore, these APIs
would return string descriptions of the usages the certificate in question had
been verified for rather than using more concrete identifiers or values. This
paradigm is usable but imprecise. The new nsIX509CertDB API
asyncVerifyCertAtTime is much more expressive, enforces off-main-thread
computation, and makes use of CryptoTask for a simple implementation. Using this
API, previous uses of the old nsIX509Cert APIs can be replaced. As an additional
benefit, this removes a ton of obsolete C++ code.

4e6d8f6705 Bug 1207245 - part 6 - rename nsRefPtr<T> to RefPtr<T>; r=ehsan; a=Tomcat
The bulk of this commit was generated with a script, executed at the top
level of a typical source code checkout. The only non-machine-generated
part was modifying MFBT's moz.build to reflect the new naming.

CLOSED TREE makes big refactorings like this a piece of cake.

 # The main substitution.
